We were the first
ones to tell you that the Shahid's Batti Gul Meter Band, produced by Prerna
Arora of KriArj Entertainment, is based on electricity thefts. The film
revolves around the practice of stealing electricity which is rampant in rural
areas and small towns in India. It is being directed by Toilet: Ek Prem Katha
director Shree Narayan Singh. The leading lady opposite Shahid is yet to
be cast.
Shahid has
finished work on Padmavati and has already started work on Batti Gul... More
than twice he has been spotted at the airport, his face covered with a black
scarf, avoiding the cameras, making a run for his car. Has he been hiding his
new look for the film from the media, we wonder?

Coming back to
Sadak 2, being produced by Vishesh Films, the sequel is reported to be in the
league of Aashiqui 2. As for the August 31, 2018 box-office, if neither Sadak 2, nor
Batti Gul Meter Band withdraws from the race, this will be an interesting
clash.
